Toured through Denali on a former school bus! However, the seats were upgraded and there was heat! Our guide, Glen, was amazing. We had a great time seeing bears, moose, and caribou among other animals. It only rained a tiny bit as we started out.
Our first sighting were caribou.
Next we sighted a grizzly bear but it was far away and on the other side of the bus! Then more caribou, artic squirrel (not pictured), and a ptarmigan. I can add that one to my birder “life list!” On the Merlin Bird ID app. 😎🦆🕊️🦅
After that, it was quite a while before we spotted anything else. Then suddenly there was a grizzly bear walking down the road headed towards us!
As one can see, we saw lots of animals after that! Just so you know, no one in our tour stepped out of the bus when a wild animal was present!!! The best was yet to come!
Amazing adventure seeing animals in the wild! Denali is beautiful. We will use our vouchers for the dinner show Music of Denali tonight!
