We went to a Scarlet Macaw Sanctuary! It was amazing. Lots of parrots and other Costa Rican animals. But wait thereโs more! We also enjoyed a boat ride where we saw wildlife including monkeys and one crocodile!

Next we got on a boat at the Costa Rica Yacht Club marina. We tooled around passed mangroves, sighting animals along the way. We saw about four different capuchin monkeys, however, I donโt seem to have a good photo.

I was able to view the crocodile scrambling into the water. So I did see one! Yeah! โฆmeanwhile I am sitting in a tiny boat without windows!!! ๐๐ค๐ณ๐ I stopped resting my elbow on the hull. ๐๐๐
Our guide, Omar, mentioned several interesting facts. 1. Students must score high enough to advance to the next grade. School children who donโt behave, automatically repeat their grade level, even if theyโre passing their subjects. 3. All students are learning English in school already but will also start learning mandarin in 1-2 years. 4. The national bird of Costa Rica is a robin! ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ (no robin emoji available!, wouldnโt you know it!๐๐๐) 5. The mangroves are from Africa. 6. If one doesnโt work, one doesnโt eat. Or as Omar put it โNo work, no eat!โ Therefore, Costa Rica has very low unemployment. 7. Bureaucracy and democracy go together. Thatโs one I knew already! ๐๐๐
May the fourth be with you, tomorrow. Happy Star Wars Day! โญ๏ธโจ๐๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ
