Canary Island of Lanzarote: Arrecife, Spain Day 89 April 18, 2023

Lanzarote is seventy miles away from the African mainland and the northernmost of the four Canary Islands. We walked around the lovely marina on the way to shopping!!! 😎😎😎🤑🤑🤑😅😅😅 The island has a population of about 142,000 people, so not a big city. Yet they have an Ikea Store!

Bartender competition yesterday afternoon. Extremely entertaining! 😉😄😂 Aiken, Miss Zeny’s boyfriend, won! Bruce, we know him from a past cruise, was also completing. They were all funny.

    There’s not just an IKEA there but an Ironman Race also!!

    You look very nice for formal night. Also looks like you have maintained your weight well all this time. 👏
    I know someone from the Canary islands. She was from La Palma I think. I’ve lost touch with them now. Her husband was from Morrocco and had a very French accent. I worked with them for a few years at Indiana State University. Liked them both a lot.

      I have worked hard at eating healthy…most meals. It’s a challenge! “I am directionally correct, but not perfect!” That’s my new motto! My weigh has creeped up slightly as evidenced by my clothing. Alas, and the scale. Tonight is a specialty dinner at the Italian restaurant, Sabatini’s! …so that’s a special occasion! 😅😌😉

      I’m having trouble uploading my post for the La Palma island. So stay tuned for that one. We are at sea for the next 7 days so there’s not much I can do to fix it. I liked La Palma. I have been to both of those places, amazing! Thanks again for all your thoughtful comments. 😍😍😍

      Yes, we are having a great time! I can’t believe today is the 95th day! Incredible! The time has flown by! It will be good to come home. Don’t be silly, we had 2 cruises booked before we embarked on this world cruise! 😅😆😉😉😉😎😎😎
