Robbin’s Journey

Some of Zeny Lou’s family members who are locals, drove Danny, Pat, Barry, and I along with Zeny & her boyfriend, Aiken, all around Dubai last night. We left about 8:30PM and returned after 2:00AM. We had a blast. We had 3 cars and 11 people total. Including MJ who took the photo!

Barry & I were in Rain’s car. We got a kick out of hearing a local radio station. Especially the news reports regarding events in the USA and the warning to locals regarding beggars during the upcoming Ramadan celebrations. Begging is illegal and residents of Dubai are encouraged to give only to verified charities. Residents should report beggars.

It gets hot in Dubai. Our tour guide yesterday said their seasons are “winter and hell!” I guess that’s slightly worse than Chicago which has “winter and construction!” 😅😅😅 Stores close between 1:00PM and 4:00PM.

Our first stop was the Dubai Mall which also has 17 “attractions, entertainment & cinemas” including an aquarium but it was closed. They have a See’s Candy store even though Dubai is east of the Rocky Mountains!!! Hum. The strangest thing was that I didn’t buy anything!

The mall closed at midnight. That’s when we left. We went to Blue Waters Dubai, http://www.bluewatersdubai.ae.” We walked around. Very pretty marina area.
