Kenai Lodge, Day 8, August 22, 2023

We are on our way to Kenai Wilderness Princess Lodge. Long drive but we made a few outlook stops plus a 2 hour break for lunch in Anchorage.

Later, driving along the highway, we were looking for beluga whales! 🐳 We did spot several but alas I didn’t get a picture. These are my favorite whales. I saw them on the National Geographic TV special narrated by Sigourney Weaver. Belugas are adorable. 😍 They are close to shore in this area.

    I’m glad you were able to get some pictures and identify some birds. It definitely changes your perspective on what you’re looking at when you’re out there trying to identify the wildlife. Plus it’s also fun., glad you’re enjoying yourself.

      Yes, everywhere we go they say “If you’re a birder, let us know.” It’s great to be able to identify the birds and other wildlife.
