Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Day 109 May 8, 2023

Puerto Vallarta remained small until director John Houston filmed The Night of the Iguana in and around Puerto Vallarta in 1964. Now, it’s a booming tourist destination.

We have been here before numerous times. So …we walked to Sam’s Club and Walmart. Most of the crew and plenty of the passengers were there too! I got some Mexican coffee and other great bargains!

We saw sea turtles the other day! They were swimming along side our ship. 🐢🐢🐢 I personally saw two. Alas no photos! Our waiter said he saw one as big as our round dining room table! Very cool!

We enjoyed dinner at the Bayou steakhouse last night. Stopped at the Wheelhouse for an early celebration of Miss Zeny’s birthday.

Tonight we went to Sabatini’s specialty restaurant onboard. A lovely Italian dinner! 🇮🇹🍝🍷

You must feel almost like home being in Mexico, its so close. Ive not been to Mexico much but even I have been to Puerto Vallarta. I enjoyed it. I think we went on some excursion there to a Tequilla producing place. Kinda farm like. They had an amazing number of different flavors of Tequilla and samples of all. I rarely drink but tried some.

  2. Nothing like visiting Walmart to make the excursion sound more exotic! 😛

    1. I know, I know! … Well you know how sometimes stories begin and end the same way. We went to Costco in Hawaii (the 2nd port o’call!)!!! ******Correction: We went to Walmart in Honolulu our very first port o’call!!!😅😅😂 It wouldn’t be funny if it wasn’t true!!! Wow, had forgotten that one! 🤔🤔🤔😉😜😜😜 I am directionally correct, but not perfect! 😉😉😉
