Play it again Sam! Yes, Casablanca sounds so exotic. Hoping I can take a photo of Rick’s Cafe Americain. 😅😜😜😜 I have been to the African continent once before, Egypt in 2009. But this is quite exciting.
Last night when we left Malaga, Spain sailing towards Casablanca, we went through the Staight of Gibraltar right passed the Rock of Gilbraltar.
We toured through Casablanca! Our guide told us the history and a few jokes too! He made the tour fantastic. And low & behold, one of the first places we saw was Rick’s Cafe! Bazingga! 📷📷📷Sweet! 😎😎😎 Rick’s Cafe is an exact replica, exterior and interior, from the film! Yalla yalla!
Casablanca was an important strategic port during WW II and hosted the Casablanca Conference in 1943 with Winston Churchill and President Eisenhower. (Franco couldn’t make it!) They spoke of meeting in the white house. Therefore, spies went to DC!
